Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based ­in Clemmons, NC.   The Plastics Engineer Intern will be exposed to a broad range of plastic injection molding processes (primary and secondary).  The intern will be mentored by an experienced Engineer.   YOUR Goals and Learning Experiences:Throughout this internship, the candidate will be immersed in a manufacturing organization, experiencing every operation within manufacturing (molding and assembly).  The intern experience will include but is not limited to: - Injection Molding - Blow Molding - Assembly - Plastic Welding (ultrasonic, hot plate, spin, vibration, thermal insertion) - Robotic part take-out and value add activities - Solid modeling - Mold Filling simulation - 3D printing

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based ­in Nashville, TN.   The Engineering Controls & Automation Intern willbe immersed into controls and use of operating software, identification of automation options to reduce labor reduce human accidents, over time experiencing every phase of manufacturing and testing software to control machine movement.   YOUR Goals and Experiences:  - Gain exposure to controls and automation controllers with assembly and fabrication equipment. - Operate the software and components to assemble and transport items during the assembly process. - Develop a working knowledge of the equipment control logic programs to control sequencing of machine functions. - Control and program Logic from Allen Bradley, Siemens, Niagara Building Automation, Yaskawa Moto man, Cognex and IFM to support process and assembly equipment.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based ­in Kingstown, RI.   The North Kingstown RI facility specifically manufactures lights, chlorinators, controls, and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) which get shipped intercompany, to distribution, or direct to customers.   The Robotics Engineering Intern will - Development of base code for Mecademic robot to be used to automate manual production test procedures. - Analyze product flow throughout facility to develop mobile robot use cases.   YOUR Goals and Experiences:  - Gain hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing environment to apply knowledge learned in the classroom. - Use CAD tools to develop custom end effector tooling. - Developing control applications for industrial robots. - Business objective: Gain efficiencies in production and material handling through expanded automation. - Exoected deliverables includes: - Base code for Mecademic robot to be used to automate manual production test procedures. - Deployment plan for mobile robots for materials handling.
