The Vice President, Finance Business Partner – Global Supply Chain & Operations serves as the senior finance leader and strategic business partner to the Global Supply Chain and Operations organization. This role is accountable for delivering financial leadership, insight, and discipline across global manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, inventory, and operations performance.

 

Operating within a Finance Center of Excellence (COE) model, this leader partners closely with FP&A, Cost Accounting, Supply Chain Finance, and Business Intelligence teams while retaining end-to-end ownership for financial outcomes tied to global operations. The role requires a highly capable, hands-on finance executive who can operate at both strategic and operational levels, driving improved cost competitiveness, working capital efficiency, and operational decision-making across a complex global footprint.

Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Global Supply Chain and Operations leadership, providing fact-based insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Translate operational strategies (network optimization, make/buy decisions, manufacturing footprint optimization, capacity planning, cost savings) into clear financial implications and business cases.
  • Support long-range planning, capital investment prioritization, and scenario modeling tied to growth, resilience, and productivity initiatives.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance Management

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for global operations, including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and inventory.
  • Own and explain operational P&L drivers, including cost of goods sold, absorption, productivity, inflation, and operational variances.
  • Lead monthly Finance / Operational KPI review by factory and region
  • Partner with FP&A and Supply Chain Finance COEs to ensure consistent assumptions, analytics, and performance reporting.

Cost, Productivity & Margin Improvement

  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to identify, quantify, and track cost reduction, productivity, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Provide financial leadership on sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, transportation optimization, and footprint decisions.
  • Establish financial guardrails while enabling speed and flexibility in operational execution.

Working Capital & Inventory Optimization

  • Drive financial rigor around inventory management, obsolescence, turns, and cash conversion.
  • Partner with Operations, Planning, and Logistics teams to improve forecasting accuracy and working capital efficiency.
  • Provide transparency and accountability for inventory-related risks and opportunities.

Capital Investment & Governance

  • Lead financial evaluation of capital investments, automation initiatives, and operational transformation programs.
  • Ensure disciplined capital governance, post-investment tracking, and return-on-investment analysis.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance business partners and managers supporting global operations.
  • Model a “roll-up-your-sleeves” leadership style, balancing people leadership with direct individual contribution.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence at senior leadership levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations-intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated success as a senior finance business partner supporting global operations or supply chain organizations.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, working capital, and operational finance drivers.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions, and drive change through data and insight.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization and partnering within a COE finance model.
