Hayward Holdings Inc. This role is based in North Kingstown, RI.
The Facilities Helper performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and knowledge of electrical safety.
· Collect all trash and recyclable materials from the manufacturing floor and other areas of the facility.
· Clean and maintain safety walkways (including snow removal) and building utility areas / rooms.
· Assist in overall maintenance of the facility.
· Assist in the upkeep of outside grounds.
· Assist in the overall maintenance and care of all safety equipment.
· Promote a safe working environment, practice 5S, correct safety and facility deficiencies
· Assist in Hazardous Waste Management program.
· Monitor manufacturing support equipment performance as required.
· Performing additional assignments as directed by the Facilities Manager
· Primary hours of work are 5am – 3:30pm, four 10-hour days.
· This is a flex position for work coverage on 1st and 2nd shift. When second shift coverage is vacant the Flex helper will work from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am provided 24-hour notice is given. Shift pay differentials will be provided.
Proficient at operating facilities trash and recycling equipment
· Mechanical ability
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
· Forklift certification a plus but not a requirement (will train)
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma/GED
· 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, stand and walk. The employee will frequently be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
