Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is fully onsite, based in Clemmons, NC.

 

Position Overview:

The North America ISC Finance Leader is a financial business partner that supports North America segment and global Operation team. This role is responsible for COGS and Distribution &Warehouse performance of $1B North America segment, leads a team of 7, reports to VP of Finance in Global Operations, regularly interacts with the CSCO, VP of US Operations and VP of Supply Chain and their teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost accounting and optimization, budgeting, and forecasting. This position requires strong analytical and leadership skills, acumen in manufacturing operations, proficiency in financial management, and strategic mindset to lead changes and business transformation and drive for sustainable savings and improvements. The role is based in Clemmons, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Lead long range financial planning, budgeting and regular forecasting aligned with business objectives and X-matrix. Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, transformation and costing saving initiatives and capital expenditures.

 

  • Operational Finance & Performance Management: Partner with operations to optimize cost structures, improve margins, enhance productivity and reduce inventory; Implement KPIs and dashboards to monitor plant performance, project progress and inventory management

 

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross functional leaders in production, engineering, supply chain, quality and logistics to drive strategic initiatives; Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance plant performance and profitability and support decisions in make vs buy, insource vs outsource, expansion vs consolidation, and product development, etc.

 

  • Cost Analysis and Control: Monitor and analyze production costs, variances, and profitability metrics. Work closely with the operations team to develop and implement cost control measures and ensure adherence to budgetary targets.

 

  • Inventory and Working Capital Management: Oversee inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Analyze inventory levels, aging, and obsolescence risks and opportunities, and work with the operations team to optimize inventory management practices and extend payment terms

 

  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure robust internal controls, compliance with financial policies and regulations, and risk mitigation strategies; Coordinate internal and external audits, provide necessary documentation and explanations; Implement corrective actions to address audit findings.

 

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and coach a team of 7 staffs within the US, foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance, ideally in manufacturing industries, 8+ years as operational finance leader or multi-site controller preferred
  • Strong leadership ability and skills to coach and develop financial talents
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record of driving financial transformation and operational excellence
  • Knowledge and experience in 6-sigma, driving process improvement and standardization
  • Self starter, strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and problem solving capabilities
  • A highly motivated, proactive and collaborative work ethic, with the ability to independently move projects forward, make decisions, and assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations – with a sense of urgency and ability to manage complexity and enact change quickly
  • Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Proficient in ERP system and financial system and other database, experience in D365 preferred

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· B.S. or B.B.A. in Accounting or Finance
