We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our Hayward Commercial Aquatics team. The successful candidate will provide technical support and training for Hayward CAT Controllers and related commercial products. This role requires a strong understanding of swimming pool water chemistry, pH, and ORP, with prior CPO (Certified Pool Operator) experience preferred. Responsibilities include conducting product technical trainings, managing our Commercial Training Hub in Atlanta, and supporting customers and internal teams with expert product knowledge.
· Provide technical support for CAT Controllers and other Hayward Commercial products via phone, email, and in person.
· Conduct technical trainings for commercial customers, partners, and internal staff — both in-person and online.
· Manage and maintain the Commercial Training Hub facility in Atlanta, ensuring it is prepared for product demonstrations, classes, and hands-on training.
· Assist with troubleshooting water chemistry issues related to pH, ORP, and sanitization on commercial pools using CAT Controllers.
· Develop and update training materials, presentations, and technical documentation.
· Support the Commercial Aquatics sales and service teams with technical product knowledge and field support when needed.
· Participate in conferences and customer site visits as required.
· Stay current with industry trends, product developments, and advancements in pool chemistry control technology.
· Solid understanding of swimming pool water chemistry, including ORP, and other key water balance parameters.
· CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
· Previous experience with CAT Controllers, or similar automated pool water chemistry control systems, is highly desirable.
· Strong presentation and public speaking skills — comfortable leading training sessions for groups of various sizes.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Customer service mindset with ability to build rapport with clients and partners.
· Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage training schedules and resources.
· Ability to travel occasionally for off-site trainings, trade shows, and customer support.
