The Maintenance Mechanic will support the Manufacturing Engineering team on 2nd shift in installing, maintaining, and upgrading all machines and equipment used in the manufacturing areas in optimal working order.
· Repairs existing machines and supports equipment to keep production running
· Performs routine maintenance on machines
· Orders replacement parts for all machines as needed and ensures necessary parts are in stock for immediate needs
· Assists with the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance program and documentation
· Assist with the design and creation of custom equipment and assembly fixtures
· Collaborates with Operations, Quality, Safety, Materials, and other cross functional teams on tasks as necessary
· Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment issues and identifies and executes required repair work
· Provides daily reports of repairs and tasks completed on shift for seamless transition of work and information across shifts
· Works in a safe manner at all times and promotes a safe working environment
· All other duties as assigned
· Associate’s degree from a technical program preferred
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting equipment
· Advanced troubleshooting skills
· Ability to operate a forklift
· Electrical/electronic knowledge; hands-on experience on various assembly lines
· Machine shop experience
· MS-Office Experience
· 2 + years’ experience in a maintenance or mechanic role
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, stand and walk. The employee will frequently be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
