As part of the global Product Management team, you will build a product management infrastructure that aligns with Hayward’s strategic business imperatives, mission, vision, and values for North America. As the Director of Product Management – Core Products, you will lead a team of employees across multiple product categories. You will drive business outcomes through strategic product initiatives to increase top-line revenue and improve product margins. You will collaborate across the organization to identify, design, and implement Hayward’s global product management strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creating and driving product line strategies to meet business needs
  • This role will lead a diverse team including the following product categories: Heating Products, Pumps, Filters, and Above Ground Products
  • Develop and lead strategic key product initiatives to increase top line revenue and improve product margins.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Develop solutions to business challenges
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing insight regarding sales and margin expectations across product categories
  • Partner with the brand marketing team to ensure proper messaging of product features and benefits to our customers
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit, develop, and retain a best-in-class product management team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Product Management
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Previous budget and staff management experience
  • Strong commercial and marketing knowledge and proven track record of product strategy development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse and remote teams through strong leadership
  • Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
  • Results-oriented, with a “can-do” attitude and "hands-on" approach.
  • Agile, with the ability to adapt to changing demands; flexible to varying processes across multiple cultures.
  • Comfortable with a dynamic, evolving organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into organization development plans.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external customers, including Executive management.
  • Exceptional organization skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to synthesize information and present to audiences at all levels.
  • Tech-savvy; ability to effectively navigate various software platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as project management skills
