This position is based in Atlanta, GA.

 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, diagnosing, repairing, and testing CAT Controllers returned for both warranty and non-warranty service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on repair skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

· Receive and log CAT Controllers returned for service, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.

· Diagnose electronic and hardware issues in CAT Controllers using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation.

· Perform repairs on electronic assemblies, components, and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

· Test repaired units to ensure full functionality and compliance with specifications and quality standards.

· Document findings, repairs, and test results in maintenance records. Work with Customer Service to prepare invoices for non-warranty repairs.

· Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams for complex troubleshooting and continuous product improvement.

· Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with safety and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols.

· Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance repair quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

· Technical training in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in electronics diagnostics, repair, and testing—ideally with industrial controllers or similar equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, and service manuals.

· Proficient with electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.

· Strong soldering and surface mount component handling skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong communication and documentation skills.

· Familiarity with CAT Controllers or similar control systems is a plus.
