This internship is an exciting opportunity for students interested in test automation, DevOps, and quality assurance to gain hands-on experience in enhancing automated testing frameworks for embedded, web, and mobile applications.

What You’ll Do:

As a Test Automation Software Development Intern, you’ll play an important role in developing and improving automated testing frameworks that validate Hayward’s residential pool control systems. You’ll work alongside senior developers and DevOps engineers to expand automation capabilities and ensure high-quality product performance.

✅ Automated Test Development & Framework Enhancement:

• Write, test, and debug automation scripts for embedded, web, and mobile applications.
• Assist in designing and developing system test automation scripts under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Improve and optimize existing automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.

✅ Software Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting:

• Develop detailed test designs following software test engineering principles.
• Create integration, regression, performance, and load test cases.
• Work closely with DevOps and development teams to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Define and collect test metrics to monitor system reliability.

✅ Technology & Tools Exposure:

• Utilize Selenium, Appium, Python, XML, JSON, and JavaScript for test automation.
• Work with databases and server administration (desired but not required).
• Test Hayward’s applications on iPad, iPhone, and Android devices.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Currently enrolled as a rising senior in a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Computer Science or Information Technology.
✔ Programming and scripting experience with a passion for developing high-quality software.
✔ Experience with Selenium, Appium, Python, XML, JSON, JavaScript, or similar.
✔ Knowledge of databases and server administration is a plus.
✔ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
✔ Must have reliable transportation to and from the internship location.
✔ Available Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week.
