Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As a Test Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to develop and debug electronic test systems that support the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other electronic components.

Your Responsibilities:

✅ Electronic Test & Diagnostic Systems:

  • Assist in the development and debugging of automated electronic test systems used in PCB production.
  • Support the design of electronic diagnostic tools for technicians and engineers.
  • Create new or update existing schematics for Automated Test Systems.

✅ Software & Hardware Development:

  • Assist in writing operator test procedures and technician diagnostic guides.
  • Modify or develop microcontroller-based diagnostic tools.
  • Research and compile technical data from vendor websites to support project development.

✅ Problem Solving & Process Optimization:

  • Develop troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Optimize automated test systems to improve first-pass yield and reduce scrap in manufacturing.
  • Help reduce diagnostic and repair time for faulty products.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
✔ Strong understanding of mixed-signal electronic circuits and schematic diagrams.
✔ Experience or familiarity with Electronic CAD software (Eagle CAD preferred).
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
✔ Knowledge of C, Python, Arduino, or Microchip PIC-based microcontrollers is a plus!
✔ Familiarity with common lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Power Supplies, Soldering Stations).
✔ Passion for electronics, problem-solving, and hands-on learning in a manufacturing setting.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves standing, walking, and hands-on work with electronic test equipment. You may need to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and use fine motor skills for assembling/testing electronics.
