Sustaining Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic Sustaining Mechanical Engineer to join our Sustaining Engineering team, driving improvements in mechanical systems to support Operations and Quality departments.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead sustaining engineering projects to address operational and quality challenges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in components and assemblies.
• Maintain and ensure the integrity of engineering data (e.g., BOMs, CAD, and specifications).
• Develop and test innovative solutions to meet customer needs and industry standards.
• Create and refine designs, drawings, and prototypes using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects.
• Validate prototypes and products through testing to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Stay current on trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in consumer products.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PLM software like Teamcenter (Siemens).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with injection-molded design and plastics/resins.
• Proficiency in FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools.
