As a District Sales Manager for the Flow Control division, you’ll drive growth by creating demand, acquiring new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build multi-market business through engineering firms, OEMs, mechanical contractors, and distributors.
  • Present expert-level product knowledge to engineering accounts and drive specification conversions.
  • Analyze market trends, develop sales strategies, and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term customer relationships by resolving concerns and providing exceptional service.
  • Lead customer visits, sales activities, and follow-ups to expand new and existing opportunities.
  • Leverage Salesforce.com for reporting and managing business development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and distributor partners to drive product awareness and mindshare.
  • Represent Hayward at industry events, including trade shows and association gatherings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction or related industries (municipal, water treatment, aquatics, mining, or PVF industries).
  • Proven ability to engage and build relationships with engineers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing sales budgets and meeting goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid driver’s license required.
  • Must reside within the assigned district
  • Willing to travel: 50–70%
