Overview

Hayward Holdings Inc. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

 

Position Overview
As the Quality Manager, you will lead all aspects of the Quality function at Hayward’s Rhode Island facility. Acting as a champion for continuous improvement, failure analysis, and risk mitigation, you’ll ensure Hayward products consistently exceed customer expectations. This role is pivotal in maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and fostering a culture of excellence aligned with Hayward's values of Care, Respect, Lead, and Grow.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Leadership: Serve as the Voice of Quality and Customer Advocate, ensuring all products meet engineering and performance standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and develop QA/QC staff, prioritizing workload to support manufacturing operations and engineering needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that reduce defects, enhance processes, and utilize metrics to monitor and improve quality performance.
  • Compliance and Standards: Oversee agency audits, regulatory requirements, and supplier quality management to ensure alignment with organizational policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to support new product development, engineering changes, and corrective actions.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply disciplined methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma) for root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Customer Focus: Investigate and resolve customer concerns, manage warranty issues, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Prepare monthly quality reports covering product warranty rates, scrap/rework costs, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or related field.
  • 5+ years of management experience in Quality, Operations, or Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
