Hayward Holdings Inc. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based in Dallas or Austin, TX.

 

Responsible for the development and management of Hayward Commercial Pool Products sales activities, driving sales personally and in conjunction with inside sales, customer service, and the Hayward Commercial Products sales organization. This position will report directly to the National Commercial Sales Manager and focus on the South-Central Region.

Responsibilities

  • The focus is to convert customers and build new business while maintaining the existing book of business.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on distributors, dealers, Commercial builders, Commercial servicers, OEMs, and prospective commercial customers obtaining new business and expanding Hayward's existing business.
  • Develop new targets through active prospecting and cold calling activities.
  • Analyzes market trends and sales data to identify market and channel opportunities and for future business
  • Clearly and convincingly articulate the organization's offerings and value proposition and overcome initial resistance from prospects.
  • Performs formal presentations to commercial engineering firms and works to have Hayward products specified in the design of new commercial pools.
  • Proactively prospects new opportunities outside of Hayward's core commercial business.
  • Advises dealers and distributors concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  • Analyzes market trends and sales data to assist dealers in sales promotions for present and future business.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalogs, and explains features, attributes, and advantages over the competition.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer requirements, volume potential, and competitive pricing.
  • Develops sales campaigns for assigned territory to help achieve the company's goals.
  • Represents Hayward at trade shows and association meetings to promote the product.
  • Coordinates between sales, customer service, technical service, engineering, and other departments as appropriate.
  • Controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Provides input and implements annual sales plan for the territory, including sales strategy. Maximize return from the territory's assigned accounts/geographic area and meet the territory's sales quotas established by the National Commercial Sales Manager.
  • Manages and develops customer base through the effective use of Salesforce CRM. Identifies new business targets and effectively schedules touchpoints and selling opportunities maintaining a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and indirect).
  • Prepares monthly progress reports, monthly itinerary, weekly call reports, and weekly expense reports on time and submits to the National Commercial Sales Manager.
  • May be responsible for training sales trainees, sales representatives, and territory sales managers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the National Commercial Sales Manager.

 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
  • Sales success in a B2B environment where market growth and large customer conversion is the objective. 
  • Analytical thinking and strategic selling skills will be essential. 
  • Travel: 40%
  • Familiarity with automated control systems, basic electricity, plumbing hydraulics, and water chemistry is a plus. Broad knowledge of Commercial pool equipment and Hayward Commercial Aquatics products is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of electronic chlorine generation, UV, and gas heaters is a plus.
  • A minimum of five years of sustained new business sales achievement is essential.
