Position Overview:  Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.  Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.  Inspect, test or measure materials or products being produced

 

Responsibilities

  • Read drawings and instructions to understand the requirements for the product or parts
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality requirements
  • Select samples and inspect them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.).
  • Perform Incoming, In-process and final inspections. As well as rework and sorting of defective materials and products
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports to the quality manager as needed
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

 

Qualifications

  • ASQ-QI Certification a plus

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or GED required
  • 1 Year experience as quality inspector or relevant role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers etc.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
