As a Sr. Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Hayward's IoT products. You’ll get the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies including cloud, Android, iOS, voice assistants as well as our home automation APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product requirements and translate them into engineering specifications.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimized cost.
  • Collaborate closely with the automation team to test code and platform solutions, ensuring they meet requirements.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure designs align with CI/CD processes.
  • Lead small teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Actively participate in systems and software design reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Design and develop intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years working extensively in Typescript, JavaScript, node.js, C# .NET, SQL, React/RN.
  • Experience with system designs and microservice architecture in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with REST, XML and JSON.
  • Strong advocate of the Agile/Scrum process, ideally with test-driven development, DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead small teams.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • 5+ years of professional software development.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
