Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.  This position is based in Charlotte, NC 

 

The Lead Data Analyst reports to the VP of Business Intelligence and will play a pivotal role in improving operational efficiency and effectiveness by analyzing and interpreting supply chain data with advanced tools and technologies. The main responsibilities include providing accurate and timely reports, identifying trends and patterns in the data, and providing current and predictive insights and recommendations for process improvement. The insights generated by this role will inform key decision-making across the organization, requiring - operational excellence experience and strong technical skills, and financial knowledge to translate complex information into actionable insights for a wide range of stakeholders. 

 

This role is fast-paced and highly visible within the company, offering direct interaction with management teams, Finance, and various departments across the organization at all levels. The individual holding this position must be able to understand and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, have outstanding storytelling skills to deliver insights to senior management, and champion changes across functions and businesses in promoting data culture. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key, global stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions 
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to supply chain operations. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide key performance metrics to Supply Chain management and other stakeholders. 
  • Design and automate data workflows and processes to streamline data analysis and reporting 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings. 
  • Develop and implement data quality and data management processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Work with IT, Business Intelligence team and other stakeholders to develop and maintain databases and other data systems. 
  • Monitor and report on supply chain performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending corrective actions. 
  • Develop and maintain statistical models and predictive analytics to support supply chain planning and decision-making. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to supply chain data analysis. 

Qualifications

Capabilities/Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, knowledge, and experience with Python, Alteryx, and Snowflake preferred  
  • Strong analytical skills, ability, and a proven track record in working with large amounts of data from different sources and providing meaningful insights 
  • Knowledge of supply chain management concepts and best practices 
  • Experience with statistical modeling and predictive analytics preferred 
  • A highly motivated, Self-driven, curious, and creative; ability to manage complexity and independently move projects forward 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Multitasking skills and ability to act with a sense of urgency and work under pressure 

Education / Experience: 

  • 4-year college degree in supply chain management, statistics, economics, or another relevant field 
  • Master of Science or Master of Business Administration is a plus. 
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain experience preferred. 
  • 5-8 years overall work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
