Overview

Responsibilities

  • Receives and keys material into computer.
  • Prints RF labels and places on product. Attaches packing slips to the receiver and files.
  • Organize and set up loads to ensure shipments of finished goods and files documentation.
  • Processes pick list and files.
  • Verifies incoming receiving for accuracy.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing all required PPE.
  • Shipping via FedEx and UPS packaging.
  • Verifies all FedEx and UPS deliveries for accuracy. Notifies appropriate department managers of packages if other than a warehouse item.
  • Assists with keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times (FedEx, UPS labels, etc.).
  • Maintains documents and records for the Warehouse Department.
  • Responsible for ensuring part number or usage changes are implemented, the bills are correct and follow the part thru the system.
  • Works closely with the Production Buyers on parts issues and shipments.
  • Assist with maintaining of inbound/outbound trucks to distribution centers.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor immediately.
  • Perform all duties per company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • May assist Material Handlers with delivery of material to the production lines as required by Team Leader or Warehouse Supervisor during absences.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor or Material Manager.
  • May serve as a first aid responder to warehouse department.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years Data Entry or Shipping & Receiving Clerk experience in a manufacturing warehouse. Lean manufacturing preferred.
  • AS400, MRP, ERP software.
  • Microsoft Office, internet skills, email.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to be certified within 60 days.
  • A strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize and direct a project to completion.
  • Ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.
  • Electrostatic Discharge Awareness or ability to be certified within 60 days.
  • Working knowledge of ALL warehouse vehicle safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment in a pleasant manner.
  • The physical demands require standing, walking and sitting frequently, lifting up to 10 lbs. frequently, lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times. PPE includes earplugs or earmuffs, safety glasses, gloves as needed and steel-toe safety shoes.

 

Education

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), Associate Degree preferred.
