    The National Sales Manager of Commercial  is a key position that is responsible for executing the selling efforts for the business.  He/She works with the sales team, distributors, contractors, engineers, OEM’s, end users and the other departments within the sales team to maximize growth within the business. Leadership of sales strategies to maximize the sale of commercial pool products through establishing specification for Hayward products with commercial targets.  Development of capabilities of the commercial sales team to drive market penetration for Hayward commercial products.  This poisiton can be based out of any US Hayward facility or Remote across the US.  


    Development and leadership of commercial selling strategies and execution of those strategies. 


    Manages subordinate sales professionals who call on distributors, contractors, engineers, OEM's and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business.


    Also may personally conduct sales activities with large end use customers.


    Must be comfortable in dealing with people from the workforce to the board room

    Assigns sales territories to commercial sales representatives.


    Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.


    Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, rebates, programs and goals.


    Formulates sales plans which incorporate a marketing strategy with regard to target market segment.


    Analyzes sales statistics to facilitate opportunities for growth.


    Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.


    Represents company at trade shows and trade association meetings to promote product.


    Coordinates liaison between customer service department, technical service, engineering and other departments as appropriate.


    Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.


    Develops and implements an annual sales plan, including sales strategy, to maximize return from the accounts and to meet the sales quotas established by the Vice President of Sales.


    Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and contacts (direct and indirect


    Develop strategic initiatives that enhance market share for the Commercial Division


    Responsible for training sales staff with regard to both sales techniques and product knowledge.


    Leads development of training tools for distributors, contractors, engineers, OEM’s and end users.


    Works closely with the marketing department to support efforts in market identification, size, sales channels, technical manuals and materials, trade literature and estimates as needed.


    Submits a monthly update of forecast for the gross sales for the business. 


    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of ten years related

    Sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge of the Commercial Pool Industry is preferred.

    Personal computer skills and mechanical capability are essential.

    Must have strong planning and organizational skills.

    Demonstrated successful sales management.

    Must also possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances and travel by plane.
