    Position Overview

    The Director of National Accounts Sales leads Hayward’s efforts and strategies with key national accounts including, but not limited to Pool Corp, Leslies, Amazon, and national buying groups.  The Director will be the primary point of contact and will be tasked with growth of revenue and share with assigned accounts as well as improvement in profitability for Hayward. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the P&L and all strategic initiatives with assigned national accounts.
    • Develops and implements sales plan to achieve agreed-upon growth and profit objectives.
    • Develops long-range strategies, and objectives to address critical business issues.
    • Prepares and monitors action plans for implementation.
    • Lead Hayward communication with national accounts, Product Managers, Retail Store Managers, E-commerce, mail, service, commercial, allocations, and training managers.
    • Develop and execute retail programs.
    • Prepares and analyzes sales and financial data (actual and forecasts) pertaining to the business unit.
    • Prepares and presents periodic business and operational reviews, and the status of performance against forecasts and budget.
    • Collects, develops, reports and disseminates market information, market trends, competitive data, customer analysis, market segmentation, and the identification of market opportunities.
    • Maintain key relationships with leadership teams of national accounts
    • In conjunction with Regional Sales Managers, deploy field sales resources to service national account locations.
    • Critical communication conduit to and from national accounts for data and performance to ensure accounts are well informed in a timely manner to make business decisions maximizing their performance with Hayward.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience leading national account sales
    • 10 years Sales experience in a manufacturing company serving distributors, dealers, and online channels
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required; experience and comfort working with executive leadership of Hayward and customers as well as the Hayward sales team and local managers at customer locations
    • Strong business acumen and strategic leadership
    • Self-sufficient with business systems
    • Results oriented and driven style

     

    Education:

    • 4-year College degree preferably in business
