    Position Overview:

    Apply principles of accounting and finance in support of Clemmons Manufacturing facility by collecting and maintaining financial data for KPI Reporting, Cycle Count Reporting, Fixed Asset system maintenance, Department Expense Analysis and analyze financial data as it relates to discrepancies within manufacturing.  Assist in monthly closing, quarterly forecasting, annual budgets, and ad hoc financial analysis.

    Responsibilities

    Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

     

    • Prepare weekly/monthly plant KPI’s related to Weekly Production, Consignment Inventory, Cycle Counting, Labor Analysis and reconciliation of GL, Scrap and Inventory Transactions

     

    • Assist Plant Controller with preparation of month end journal entries and reports

     

    • Responsible for accurate GL coding of all Clemmons related invoices and Debit Memo’s

     

    • Monitor and report status of Capital projects for US sites.  Close CIP account and update Fixed Asset system once projects are completed in cooperation with plant controllers and corporate

     

    • Assist Plant Controller in budgeting and forecasting activities (Preparation, explanation and distribution of department expenses in relationship to the forecast)

     

    • Assist in annual audit preparation and feedback

     

    • Participate in 3 Kaizen events per year (Manufacturing Improvement & Process)

     

    • Special projects and other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

     

    • Must have 2 - 3 years of accounting experience in the area of financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing/operations environment

     

    • Must have the ability to provide accurate, timely analysis and interpretation of manufacturing KPI’s

     

    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to meet tight deadlines as well as work on/with interdepartmental teams

     

    • Must have well developed PC skills, particularly in Excel using pivot tables and various lookup techniques, and other company applications

     

    • Hands-on Experience with AS400 is a plus

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    Bachelors level degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or Finance
