Position Overview:

To set up and operate molding machinery (C50/C51/C52) and associated finishing equipment in such a manner that safety,  quality and productivity are maximized.


Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Operate molding equipment in order to meet quality control specifications and produce at standard parts per hour. Notify the blow molding process technician, production supervisor and/or the Shift Lead Person when standards cannot be met.
  • Remove parts from press and place in totes or cartons as needed.
  • Perform all secondary operations such as sprue and runner removal, trimming, etc.
  • Inspect parts per the Operator Quality Instructions and Standard Work.
  • Operate secondary finishing equipment in a safe, productive and quality oriented manner.
  • Grind sprues, runners, rejected parts, etc. Monitor material level in regrind bins.
  • Finish pack the parts per appropriate BOM and packout
  • Perform mold changes and start up molding presses. Notify Process Technician for assistance with troubleshooting, quality issues, equipment problems, etc.
  • Perform First Piece Inspections and fill out required paper work.
  • Build pack out kits to support other areas such as blow molding, injection molding, assembly, etc.
  • Assist process technician with equipment and processing problems and make recommendations for potential solutions.
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with managers, lead persons, peers and all others which must interact with the department.
  • Insure good housekeeping.
  • Participate in Kaizen projects and Continuous Improvement programs as needed to advance departmental and company goals.
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Lead Person or member of management.



  • Must be physically able to perform lifting tasks and use trimming knife safely.
  • Good attendance record is a must.


Education and Experience:

High school or G.E.D.  Desired one year experience working in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on mold set up, blow or injection molding processing, assembly, finish packaging and quality verification.
