Overview

 

Dynamic, proactive consumer products marketing professional is required to drive our business in advanced technology categories – including pool controls and automation, lighting and sanitization products.  The successful candidate will be a creative and analytical team member, and will have a proven track record in strategic planning, tactical commercial opportunism and cross-functional project management.

 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing communications across all media platforms - ensuring key messages are communicated effectively to targeted audiences.  Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is a hands-on role in which the manager will produce, or act as liaison with, external agencies to produce impactful advertising, digital content, POP displays, promotions and other marketing materials. 

 

The role involves close communication and partnership with Product Managers, Digital Marketing Managers and Sales Managers to ensure that projects are effectively coordinated and executed in all media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing programs to increase awareness, build categories and grow demand for Hayward products in the USA – including automation, lighting and sanitization categories
  • Manage research projects to obtain customer and end-user insights for competitive advantage
  • Evaluate market trend data and competitor activities to facilitate relevant, fact-based decision making
  • Coordinate with product development teams to manage the successful launch of new products
  • Analyze and report on effectiveness of marketing activities to improve effectiveness of future initiatives
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns to increase awareness and demand in both trade and consumer channels, including:
    • Print media advertising
    • Online targeted advertising
    • Website content development (messaging, photos, videos)
    • Retail packaging development
    • In-store POP displays
    • Category and product literature
    • Promotions
    • Cross-promotions (with other Hayward products)
    • Social media
    • Public relations
    • Trade shows, dealer and consumer events
    • Co-marketing alliances and programs with relevant 3rd party influencer brands
  • Manage the annual budget for specified categories to ensure maximum ROI within the marketing plan

Qualifications

  • Successful candidate will be a commercially savvy, dynamic and analytical team player with proven management and organizational skills. He/she will have probably 3-7 years’ experience managing marketing programs, working with cross-functional teams, external marketing agencies and other vendors.  Experience in the global marketplace is a plus

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field preferred, together with strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

 

  • 10 - 20% domestic travel
